A few months ago I decided I really needed to upgrade my camera. We had a compact that was a few years old but was really out of date so I’d been taking lots of images on my phone, and as good as it is, it’s really not good enough for the blog. My other blog, Love Chic Living really needs to showcase good pictures when I feature something personal, and it was becoming apparent that images were letting it down. So I made an investment.
After much procrastination and a few months of using a borrowed camera I went for it and made my purchase. A lovely Canon that I found at Currys and was on a half price offer. Result! I got it home, started playing and soon found I loved it! It’s easy to use, has an auto setting when I’m short of time or feeling lazy, but it also has lots of great manual settings too.
One of the things I think it does really well is close up shots and recently we were doing a little gardening when I decided to try out some outdoor shots. I love this one of the newly planted rosemary bush. Miss E had just been round and watered everything so I caught the few water droplets on the leaves. I love the colour too. It’s a smoky, grey green that works well against the darker greens of the other herbs.
And so I’m joining this post up with The Gallery, where the theme this week is Green. If you want to see more posts along the same theme, click on the button below and enjoy!
