We’re getting together with my family this Mother’s Day, celebrating the day with a lunch at my Dad’s golf club. It’s lovely to be treated for both me and my Mum, and lovely for us all to spend the day together.
Becky from Baby Budgeting is running a great little competition, in association with Verbaudet where us blogging mums can put together a children’s outfit for the special day. How brilliant. I always love looking at clothes for the girls, and they love dressing up too, so here are my outfit choices for both girls, especially for our Mother’s Day lunch.
For Miss E, who’s almost 10, I’ve gone for something quite girly still, but I know she’d love the denim jacket and this gives the whole outfit a much older look I think. She has lots of very long ginger hair and looks stunning in teals and greens; they are her favourite colours too so I know she would be happy with this. She doesn’t really let me buy her clothes anymore without being able to check them out first. That’s the great thing about the internet, and internet shopping, at least we can sit on the sofa together and she can tell me what she would and wouldn’t wear. It’s much less stressful and tiring than hunting around the high street.
The dress is £25, the denim jacket £2 , and the ballet pumps are £29. Another great thing with this outfit, is all of these items are great on their own, worn with other things. Lots of wear and versatility.
For Miss R, who has just turned 7, I’ve kept it sweet and simply. She is very girly, and loves anything pink and twirly! This dress is just right for her, would look lovely in the restaurant on Mother’s Day, and will be great for holidays and parties too. She loves a grown up pair of ballet pumps, and these ankle straps means she will be able to look grown up but also keep the shoes on her feet! And the cardigan is great for layering. She would look so lovely in this outfit.
The coral print dress is £21.75, the ballet pumps are £23.20, and the cardigan is a great value £14.
I think my girls would look just lovely on Mother’s Day, in their gorgeous, stylish outfits from Vertbaudet.
What do you think? Are you being treated to Mother’s Day lunch?
This is an entry into the Vertbaudet competition over at Baby Budgeting.
